The stay was decent, though a few aspects could be improved. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner on the first night, complemented by helpful staff. the breakfast experience could have been better. on one of the mornings, we had to request more items several times. it's a charming place with beautiful gardens, but some upgrades would enhance the experience.

The afternoon tea impresses with generous savouries and delightful sweets, particularly the chocolate fondant. The beautifully maintained gardens provide a picturesque backdrop for relaxation.
The twin room with disability access has a shower bathroom that needs some decorative TLC and a bit of lighting along the uneven path to the annexe. not having a ramp where there are steps may pose considerable inconvenience for those relying on mobility aids, suggesting a need for better accessibility options in room assignments.

Beautiful gardens for relaxation, Historic architecture and décor, Wide variety of room options
Signage in the annex is nearly nonexistent, leading to frustration!!! The bathrooms are poorly equipped, especially for those with disabilities, making them quite inconvenient!!!

Stunning gardens and attentive service
I had a lovely one-night stay in the modern annex, surrounded by beautiful grounds that provided a peaceful retreat. The breakfast was excellent, with a vegan option that delighted me, and the staff were incredibly attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. My only downside was the slightly dated decor in some areas, but it didn't detract from the overall charm.

Perfect for families seeking unique celebrations
We had this amazing birthday party for my granddaughter 🎉 in the fine Music Room, it’s a real showstopper with its high ceilings and fireplace. The staff were super friendly 👏 and went above and beyond, especially Caroline who helped us prepare everything in the morning, she was just great!
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but worth every penny.
